

The pattern is from Bear Brand-Bucilla Manual of Knitting and Crochet, Volume 69 [1933]. I added the blanket binding for a more finished look. Yarn used is my favorite cone yarn stand-by, the same I use so often for socks (I think I'll probably cry when it's all used up).

That looks like my baby blanket! I still have it, though it is very shabby. I used to like to run the satin binding through my fingers and I started stuttering when my mother tried to take it away. So she gave it back and never tried to take it away again!
Everyone needs a blankie! That yarn is good and tough, too. If the baby takes to it, it should stand up to quite a bit of dragging around.
